Hey there!
I'm a multimedia producer, reporter and editor who loves creating content on all platforms!
Since starting as a production apprentice at BBC Radio Cornwall in January 2022, I have become a regular voice on-air with weekly interviews, packages and live two-ways. I've also become an essential part of the social media, BBC Introducing and outside broadcast teams.
The scheme has given me a wealth of on-the-job experience and academy training in every area of the media industry. I cannot wait to apply myself to future multimedia projects, wherever they may be!

September 2011 - July 2018
It all started in Year 7 with an educational video I was making on iMovie.
I couldn't tear my eyes away from editing it and the pride I felt when I was able to show it off to my family was unmatched for 11 year old Dan.
This passion continued throughout my education and I was able to immerse myself in media alongside my undergraduate humanities degree.
I joined the student radio station where I produced loads of audio, video and digital content, including a multiplatform podcast.

'Society of the Year' - Surf was also chosen out of every society on Cornwall uni campuses!

After a very competitive selection process, I was chosen as Radio Cornwall's apprentice. I still cannot believe that my content has been played out to +150,000 weekly listeners. I've learnt so much from my talented colleagues and it's an honour to receive such positive feedback from them.

Consuming Content & Attending Live Events
I am very passionate about music, sport and media production in general so I consume a lot of content! Whether it's local live music, a football video or a radio documentary, I try to experience as much of it as possible!
I've always been really interested in taking photos but had never tried to learn how to use a high quality camera. I'm learning the ropes using a Sony ZV-E10.
Whilst I make a lot of videos for my job, I still really enjoy production during down time too. I've recently started learning how to edit Tik Toks. A lot of my learning has been on videos I haven't posted but you can still click here to check out my posts so far!
